I’ve made my decision. I have decided I can only root for Michael Beasley OR Derrick Rose. They are mutually exclusive.
I have decided on Beasley because of the sick faces he makes (above). I also think Beasley will fair far better in Miami than Rose will in Chicago this season. Chicago still just seems like a team of kids with no adults in sight. Rose might change that, but I doubt he does it overnight. Beasley on the other hand does not have to come in a reshape a franchise. He can sort of let Dwayne Wade be the big guy and work on developing his game. And I’m sure DWade will assist him with that.
But I don’t know if either of them win Rookie Of The Year. I’m gonna say OJ Mayo will, with the newly revamped Grizz. No man has ever dodged a bullet the way he did when he got out of Minnesota. kevin love is a better fit there for a variety of reasons. And take a look at that Grizzlies roster, you got OJ Mayo, Rudy Gay, Mike Conley Jr., Darrell Arthur, Marko Jaric, Marc Gasol, Darko Milicic AND Antoine Walker! There’s no way the Grizz don’t win AT LEAST 30 games. They’ve been reborn!
Anyway, yesterday in a Summer game, the Heat destroyed the Bulls 94-70. During the game, Derrick Rose did not look like this at any point:
